We were approached to design a new single storey garden-family room to replace an ageing conservatory, and link into the existing kitchen of a Victorian detached residence in Kings Heath. The design incorporates a striking monopitch roof and canopy above large format sliding doors set at an angle to the house to best appreciate the extensive gardens. Brass cladding to the return cheek of the structure was chosen to contrast with the applied charcoal render of the existing projecting gable.
